We are pleased to announce the release of CarBall 2.6, an original UT2004 mod. CarBall is multiplayer soccer with cars, combining goal scoring with weapon pickups and vehicle power-ups. Imagine Mario Kart mixed with Fifa, multiplied by Wipeout XL. CarBall is unique in changing the game's focus from killing other players to driving, teamwork and fun with physics. The addictive gameplay is simple to learn, but difficult to master. Players must combine scoring prowess with defensive awareness, while mixing in smart team play, use of weapons, and some fancy maneuvers.

The custom vehicles are capable of not only flipping, jumping and other acrobatics, but also of using various power-ups to score, escape or blow your competitors away. Chaos and unpredictability are common in CarBall games, even ones with skilled team work and communication from both sides. Far more than other games, CarBall will make you laugh as much as it will make you jeer and cheer.

You can view some of the available media created specifically for this release such as Wallpapers + Screen Shots, Video Clips, and the new Official Carball Trailer here:

CarBall is a free download that only requires the player to already have the full retail UT2004 installed. It is available from the CarBall website (http://www.carball.net) in the Files section, or from the following link: Carball.net

CarBall was a finalist in the Make Something Unreal Contest, but we didn't stop there! The development team continues to push it further with more custom content and improved gameplay to meet the needs of its growing user base.

Your mod does not work, even after updating ut2004 twice. I HAVE the latest version, yet it insists that I do not.
Guess I won't play it then.

Read the Readme provided. There's something to do with putting some lines into your UT2004.ini file, I just copied and pasted the 5 lines it said. Works fine

The UMod install worked for me with the latest version, and alot of people have downloaded it from our site without any problems. Try installing the zip or rar file instead. Just extract the contents to your UT2004 folder and it should work fine.

Ah, that would have certainly helped. I'll try the other method.

Well I think he was trying to install the UMod, which will require you to have ut2004 patched to the latest version. Yeah I forgot to mention that when you download the zip or rar file you need to add a couple lines in your ut2004.ini, the lines are in the readme file like Jambozal said.

Forgive the double post, but I am semi worried about overwriting files in my ut2004 game. Will I still be able to play the origonal? or will it only allow my to play carball?

You can still play the original. Look good, by the way.
