This is somewhat old news, but better late than never, right? Digital Paint: Paintball 2.0 Alpha Build 16 has been released and includes some nice visual upgrades as well as various bug fixes and tweaks. Here are a few of the things that have changed:
- Skeletal model support.
- Reflective water with fragment programs (if your graphics card supports them).
- Various security patches to prevent buffer overflows and other possible attacks.
- Movement tweaks to reduce getting stuck/stopped while strafe jumping as well as fixing getting getting stuck on angled walls and in water.
- Various bug fixes including vsync setting, scoreboard refreshing, and network settings.
- "cl_language" setting for potential translations of menus and game messages. No language files have been created yet.
- International keyboard support on Windows.
- Lightmaps on transparent surfaces in maps.
- Pong mode! (Imagine soccer with guns).
- Tweaks and bug fixes with grenades to reduce duds.
- "flagcapendsround" setting won't end the round if there are other flag carriers. The round will end when the last held flag is captured.
- Prevented suicides (grenade self-kills and exiting the base in siege mode) from stopping flag captures. If the enemy has the flag and you're the last person alive, you can't eliminate yourself.
- Global ban list support. Anybody detected cheating will be banned from all servers.
- Stand alone server browser to make finding servers easier. Just open the included serverbrowser.exe.
For a more complete list, visit the Digital Paint news on the release or download the game and read the readme.
constantly amazed by what u guys do with this old engine
No mac support yet (unless, of course, you use bootcamp on an x86 version). A couple people have started OSX ports but nobody has finished one yet. I don't own a mac, so I can't make one.
i HONESTLY thought that it is based on hl2 engine Oo
The server browser needs these files:
Dll-files.com
Dll-files.com
