All and many more than the above were created upon the Unreal Tournament 2004 gaming engine! We'll be taking things with this Mod to the Next Level! We will be using and building on UT2007! And hopefully, eventually, setting all new standards in game modding / development for the Stargate Fan Base and Beyond!
As you may at this point know, we are a brand new team working on a brand new Stargate based game modification for UT07!... So, needless to say that it is very early days yet! However, so far and already, we have some ingame goodies to show all you Stargate Fanatics!
The Milky Way Gate...
The Pegasus Gate...
Not bad for 3 weeks into the job huh?
Much more is due to be released to the public eye folks...! Stay tuned for more within the next few weeks..!
Until then... Happy Days to all and we hope you take the time to visit website and our forums!
PS: Don't forget to give us your Feedback and Suggestions for the Mod on the forums or simply take part in whatever way you can! Remember... We are also always looking for new recruits for our Development Team. So, If you feel you have the skills that would benefit our team and the games development... then don't hesitate to apply on our "SG:TEW - Recruitment" section of the forum!
and thats also the reason why there are no real games as well, becuase MGM holds the ip to tight.
Nice media, but better off stoping now, and calling it art work influanced by the movie.
no one learned from that C&D stargate mod?
no one learns theres a reason theres no Stargate mods, cos its illegal to copy other ppls IP
No Stargate Mods huh? Has anyone searched for Stargate Mods here on ModDb? There are many Stargate Mods! One of which being Stargate : The Last Stand which is due for release within the next 2 or 3 months after almost 3 years in development!
Plus... After much research and communications with the powers that be at MGM, it has been confirmed that they have ceased shutting down Stargate Related Mods due to the bad publicity and feedback they received by doing so! Especially after the cancellation of The Alliance!
So... I round this up by saying that We have learned something and now you all have too!
Keep dreaming.

^^ Oh look...!! There are NO Stargate Mods Cos MGM have Shut Them All Down!! ^^ :P
lmao!
It doesn't mean they can't still be listed. I can't believe you have contacted MGM and they have given you the go-ahead. Trust us, it is not worth losing all your efforts to corporate greed
jep to all
Sorry, you must have misunderstood... We haven't contacted MGM for a go-ahead, what I meant was that via sources within MGM, I have confirmation that they are no longer issuing Cease & Desist orders to unofficial Stargate Mod Projects!
Anyway... I've explained myself a little more than I should have had on this subject although your concerns are appreciated Folks!
So... now that the C&D issue has been addressed and resolved, (From my point of view anyway) there is really no need to touch on it again. Some positive and friendly feedback if none from now on would be appreciated! Thanks! ;)

Is just a Stargate inspired map.
Well, that sums up the "released" ones.
Anyway, it's not MGM you have to worry about. In case you didn't realise, it's 20th Century Fox who own the Stargate distribution rights.
Eh yes I do realise and we won't be worrying about 20th Century Fox Either! You see it is 20th Century Fox that also has the Star Wars rights too correct? And it is also 20th Century Fox that backs Lucas Arts and more importantly George Lucus' Personal opinion in actually Encouraging Star Wars based game Modification projects! What was it that Mr. Lucas said himself about Mods... Oh Yea... That was it... "They are like fan art of the interactive kind and I am pleased to see so many based on Star Wars!". Now besides this, 20th Century Fox may have distribution rights but it is MGM who deal with legalities and have "in the past" been the ones to order C&D's... Not the distributors!
At the end of the day... I have done my homework on this subject and if I'm 100% honest about it I didn't do the research for the sake of this project, it was actually for another Stargate Mod I worked on and of which is very near release! So... you've all made your points perfectly clear and all I can say is fair enough... You guys have your opinions and what you think may be correct... I cannot fault any of you on that but maybe you should try and look a little deeper into the subject like I have to find the answers that I have found! No more Stargate Mods are being shut down for the foreseeable future! End of Story!!
Now lets please end this circle of repetition and lay the matter to rest for now! Here's to the future!
Going back to the right - Get your self a release on the IP to develop a mod
I lead a commercial team, and lucky for me, our IP owner was glad to let his IP be developed into a game. However, some of the guys on my team came from perception (Alliance) and even though they did have release on the IP, the conditions MGM placed on them (Yeah 20th distributes, but MGM owns) stoped them from completing mile stones on time with Jo Wood - and hence, they got shut down.
Now, if you can get a full release on the IP to develop a mod, you will be one of the very few teams that will be developing a fan mod, WITH the rights to do so.
Please send me a PM, or email adam@nigredostudios.com if you want to know more - i will offer free advice - mostly due to the fact that MGM is a bitch to deal with.
Adam
The only answers you've found are the ones you want. Do yourself a favour and follow amckern's advice - get a full release to work on the mod, or you will be getting shut down. If it is as you say and MGM/Fox are not shutting down SG mods any more, they will be happy to give you a release.
Off topic, doesn't Sci-Fi own some part of SG now?
Not just the answers I want... but the answers I need... The answers that ALL Stargate enthusiasts who may want to start there own mod will ever need! Its a real shame that most of you post blindly, not even willing to check out the facts in detail that I have done over the past year!
Things change... MGM and their policies have changed! And when the time comes... when we have more quality items / maps / storylines etc produced... we may then just take Amckern's advice... But only then and not until then... when we have a hell of a lot more to show off and enough to meet with the IP standards / requirements etc.! In which we will have very, very soon!
One way or the other... this project shall go on and succeed, Of this I am confident because I at least out of most of you (Obviously) have my facts straight! I rest my case! Oh... and by the way... you all may want to check out www.stargateworlds.com and have a look at the fan sites pages! Right in the face of MGM, 20th Century Fox, Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment etc... the Amount of Stargate Related Mods! Why are they still there? Why are some actually "Featured Sites"? That is a simple question that even those of you who have not checked the FACTS can work out!!
Now... This is my final word on this matter... Any similar posts will not be entertained by either myself or any of the SG:TEW team. Positive posts however will be treated with "Mature and Informed" respect!
Thanks for the feedback; I hope you will also take constructive feedback as well (even though some the people who post will just be flame tards).
Good Luck!
Plus if any of you guys have some ideas for me to write stories on they would be greatly appreciated!
